Design Engineer

Mechanical Engineer with wide variety of duties including new product design, existing product maintenance, lab testing, problem solving, utilization of engineering tools (CAE, MS Office), and technical support for shop floor and outside customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist internal/external customers with technical assistance to achieve their requirements
  • Establish project goals and timelines on a per job basis
  • Verify timely completion of projects
  • Assist in “engineered product” quotation and negotiation.
  • Capable of handling multiple projects concurrently, in a high pressure, fast paced environment, working independently with minimum supervision
  • Ability to evaluate, develop and implement solutions quickly under compressed time line
  • Ability to effectively communicate in verbal and written form with coworkers, management, production employees, vendors, and outside customers
  • Role may include: reading and interpreting military specifications, designing military reel components, and supporting operations to ensure military specifications are met in the production process
  • Role may include: Reading and interpreting compliance regulations, and leading a cross functional team to ensure we are in compliance with these regulations. (i.e. California Proposition 65, REACH/ROHS, etc.)
  • May require infrequent travel <10% (including international travel) to vendors, customers, etc. to establish their specific needs

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in technical discipline – BSME preferred
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Process engineering capabilities and DFSS experience strongly preferred

Qualification Requirements:

  • Reading/interpreting government specifications
  • Enhanced communication skills: written & verbal for handling customer requirements
  • Previous technical sales skills both over the phone and face to face would be preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MRP/ERP Software, and 3-D CAD software (preferably PTC CREO 2.0 or newer version)
  • Hands on fabrication and mechanical skills are desirable along with weld experience
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and their limitations both internal and external (Casting, Molding, Machining, Stamping)
  • Knowledge of industry related standards relating to standard applications of hydraulics, pressure wash, and pneumatics: working-burst pressure factor, common seal types, material selection (carbon, stainless, aluminum, etc.).

OEM Sales Manager

Accountable for achieving OEM sales growth and profitability goals. Manage and administer sales activity for assigned accounts, markets and/or geographical area. A key success factor in this position will be to pioneer new business in both new and existing accounts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides quality leadership for Reelcraft’s internal and external customers in all assigned tasks, while always upholding the Reelcraft Values: inclusive of constructive problem solving, facilitating creative improvements, and inspiring others.
  • Achieves the OEM sales and profitability goals for Reelcraft products, solutions and services into all target market segments. Establishes an environment and foundation for sales growth.
  • Prepares presentations, proposals and sales contracts when required.
  • Develops and maintains sales materials and current product knowledge.
  • Be able to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization including: Senior Mgmt, Engineering, Customer Service, and Sales Management to assure sales growth.
  • Establishes and maintains current client and potential customer relationships.
  • Leads the sales funnel management to ensure proper visibility of opportunities and that opportunities are advanced through a rigorous countermeasure process.
  • Communicates new product and service opportunities, special developments, and information or feedback gathered through field activity to appropriate company staff, and implement action plans to address these opportunities.
  • Coordinate company staff to accomplish the work required to close sales. Teaches others how to sell value and solutions to existing and potential Reelcraft OEM customers. Disseminate information to regional sales representatives, corporate marketing, sales and leadership team members.
  • Directs and executes the OEM selling activities and responsible for all OEM interactions.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in business, marketing or related area or equivalent sales and marketing experience in related markets or industries.
  • Minimum of 7 to 10 years’ experience in selling to industrial market OEMs.
  • Extensive experience with CRM systems – Salesforce.com a plus – strong discipline in maintaining an up-to-date CRM system with constant focus on increasing funnel size and improving hit rates across all selling stages.

Qualification Requirements:

  • An ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of OEM sales and marketing techniques or equivalent aptitude and ability to value sell including superior capability of articulating our value proposition including features and benefits, total cost of ownership, product quality, etc.
  • Must be ambitious and self-motivated with a strong desire for results achievement.
  • Responsive with timely and through follow through to all customer inquiries.
  • Must present and conduct self in a professional manner in representing the company.
  • Knowledge of industries, markets, sales channels, and competitive landscape.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and general business skills.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of all MS Office applications, e-mail systems and internet usage.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and to spend time with customers. Expected travel at least 50%. The ideal candidate is not expected to spend any extended period of time in the home office.

Fabricator

To form parts by reading and using calipers, reading and understanding shop packets, job instructions and blueprints, identifying parts and following instructions as given by Team Leaders or Set-Ups.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manipulating parts by using hands, fingers, wrists & arms.
  • Operate foot pedal.
  • Reading and understand job packets, blue prints, and gauges.
  • Lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Use of a variety of hand tools & machines.
  • Pushing and pulling crates weighing up to 200 pounds.
  • Pull and set up jobs.
  • Adjusting machine programs to run particular parts.

Education and/or Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent desired
  • 3-6 months of work experience in fabrication desired.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Blue print reading or ability to learn through on-site training.
